Was born on January
28th 1992 at Kuta, Bali, I Nyoman Widiyana just starts his step in photography
on 2009, although since he was young, he already interested in photography.
Before being active in photography,Widiyana has interestness
towards another things. His kindergarten and
elementary school was filled by his painting hoby. He ever got a 2nd winner on
painting competition for elementary student in Kuta
sub-district. Besides painting, on
junior and senior high school, Widiyana also focusing on physics, and ever
became a finalis in some physics competition, even in robot-making competition.
Year 2009, can be
said as a debute year for Widiyana in photography. Because on this year for the
first time he has an DSLR camera, given by his family as a birthday present.
Based on his interestness since he was child, first event which he take with
this camera is an Ogoh-Ogoh carnaval.
And it seems his
family present weren’t useless. Widiyana for the first time joining an
photography competition which is held by Technic Faculty, Udayana University
for Java-Bali region, his photo success to got the Favorite Winner in this
event. Then, in 2010, his photo which titled Training in the Morning success to
enter an Sunrise in Sanur photo exhibition. Compete on the curation with
another thousands photos, sucess to passed his photo in this event is such an
another proudness for Widiyana. Jakarta
Post daily also wrote a news about this exhibiton, and makes Training in the
Morning as one of the ilustration photo for the news. Even governor’s Drs. A.A.
Puspayoga photo works also being exhibited in this Sunrise in Sanur
exhibition, which automatically made this event even more prestigious.
Till these days,
Widiyana learns photography autodiactly. And prefer spend his leisure
time to sleep or listening music. For Widiyana, his family are the figure who
always give him support. Especially his uncle, who he always called ‘Pak Man’ .
Owning a mini
galery at his house in the future is one of his desire. Where this galert will be
filled by his own photo work. Widiyana has a hope, someday he can travel
arround beautiful places in Indonesia to catch them in the camera.
